Lego Vs. Melissa & Doug Farm Blocks

I have a set of LEGO Duplo  blocks waiting for my toddler to get a little older but I am wondering if she would like to play with the Melissa&Doug Farm Blocks. It is a stable for her daycare. I know the comparison may not make sense but it really does for a mom who needs to clean after lots of toys, a purchase with lots of small parts is a BIG decision.  I also wonder if I should get Haba Building Blocks Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Zoo.  Haba is amazing quality and is always a hit with my toddler since she was a baby.  The Haba blocks are probably the best bet.
